Glock: 2021 to be worst year for DTM Factory BMW driver Timo Glock says his challenge in the DTM this year is "unacceptable" after he endured a frustrating crash in the Rowe Racing M6 GT3 Disappointing season.

Former Formula 1 driver Glock was BMW's top driver in the 2020 season dominated by German racing giant Audi, finishing fifth in the race and finishing at Lausitz.
The 39-year-old expected a difficult start to the 2021 season due to his inexperience in GT3 cars, but his results proved far from what he had hoped for.
Due to unfortunate and uncompetitive racing, Glock did not score points until his eighth race at the Nürburgring this season, and he has added just two top-10 finishes since then, leaving him in his worst ever season. In nine years at DTM.
Asked to sum up his season so far, Glock said: "It's hard to take. I know it's going to be difficult, going into the DTM with an M6 GT3 car and a lot of GT3 cars.

"I don't have transport on weekends. We struggle as a team on weekends, so it hasn't been a great year so far. That's how it is sometimes.
"I've had this experience a few years before, in 2019, when everything was going against us and we had no luck. The next year I was the best BMW driver.
"Things can change from year to year, or from weekend to weekend. So I hope Hockenheim, which is one of my favourites, can help me through the season."

Glock started the season with the Schaeffler/Paravan-developed Space Drive steer-by-wire system, but Rowe Racing removed the technology from its cars after persistent problems.
It's The Second Match I Lost This Year\
Teammate Sheldon van der Linde enjoyed great success in the BMW M6 with conventional steering and took pole position at the Lausitzring.
Glock said in hindsight he wouldn't have done anything different this year, but admitted he and Rowe Racing had to get more power out of their car after getting tired around the Assen circuit two days earlier.
"What I've learned in 20 years of motorsport is never look back and question [what you did] because you can't change it," he said. "The election happened, you must have thought about it.
"The biggest lesson I've learned is that driving a GT3 car is definitely different than the old DTM cars. It takes more time.
Glock, Wittmann Add Bmw Strength
"There are races where I'm only strong in terms of speed, like the Lausitzring, where I was P5 in the win and I had great speed, while at the Nurburgring I was strong in the second race in terms of speed and Spa 24. After Hours of running I had another tire that was going fast on that car.
"So sometimes I know how to drive the car and I know what I have to do. But sometimes on a race weekend you don't understand why the speed suddenly drops.
"Like Assen, that's my favorite song, for some reason I just had a car problem that I didn't have before, it's something you have to know and learn."

His place in the BCN team looked shaky in early 2006. But when Tristan Gomendi left iSport's favorable seat, Glock switched his position and was strong in the second half of the season - not doing Lewis Hamilton's game any favors. one year.
Glock and iSport were favorites for the 2007 title, beating Lucas di Grassi of ART (Hamilton's former team), but he didn't do so until the final lap.
